Painted over an antique map of Brooklyn dating back to 1892 - this piece combines the use of Acrylic paints, oil pastels, and water-color paints.
The lines capture the chaotic nature of traveling throughout Brooklyn and also connect each neighborhood with the next.
Painted as a gift for my sister - this listing can not be duplicated - but other Maps can be used to replicate - as best possible -

Inspired by my extensive collection of bathing suits and dresses this piece was created on a cold winter day and represents my desire for warm sunny weather. Textiles are very inspiring to me, and this is the first painting I have created based solely on my sense of fashion.
Each print is hand painted, and represents a favorite piece in the collection.

Acrylic Paint, Oil Pastel, Watercolor, Copper Leaf on Canvas
Textured and bright in person, this image is covered with emotional expression and depth.
The combination of materials creates a texture that feels slippery and impermanent and yet resonates with the experience of losing someone and the permanent imprint left on the heart.
Painted on a large piece of gessoed cardboard this painting was created using acrylic paints and a skewed perspective of a chinese lantern against a blue wall.
The most realistic piece created, the colors reflected on the wall off the green lantern needed no exaggeration.
A rich texture was created throughout the piece from the cardboard rippling from the moisture in the paint.
This painting was done using a live model.
The choice of colors was a play on lighting and my own need to explore skin as more than a color.
Vibrant greens and yellows play against a magenta and burgundy background, filled with movement.

Part of the "School" series, this painting was created to explore issues of separation, individuation, and attachment.
Several hearts were created in the chaotic early step of the image and incidentally became bound, whole, or tarnished.
Acrylic on Canvas 15 x 30"
Part of the School Series, this piece was painted over a figure painting and the purple hues that appear behind the image consist of a profile view of the body. The paintings were made using acrylic paint on canvas.
The contrasting color schemes of the two canvas' compliment the others creating a vibrance that brings energy and movement throughout the pieces.
